Home > Home >WiFi video doorbell also opens or locks up your abode from anywhere There are smart locks. There are smart doorbells. Now there’s a device that combines both, Lark-wi‘s Blueguard. At your doorstep, choose one of two ways to gain entry. Touch to input a preset code on the Blueguard deadbolt, and then press the unlock button to open. Or, as you near your door and are within range, the gadget unlocks it hands-free, using your smartphone or Bluetooth fob. If visitors come a-ringing, the device can welcome them into your home… or not. A motion-sensor feature alerts you to the arrival of callers, and two-way communication lets you to see, talk with, and video people through your iOS or Android device thanks to a color video camera, high-sensitivity microphone, and speaker. At night, a Bluetooth smart bulb ignites to light your way. For homes with more than one Blueguard, the devices will automatically sync together. Lark-wi says it’s easy to install: Standard batteries are required, as is a screwdriver for set-up. With over $11,500 raised on indiegogo (far surpassing its $6,000 goal), most of the early-bird options are gone. Right now, you can get two Blueguard packages for $278, which includes LED light bulbs. We’ll offer a word of caution on this one: This Indiegogo campaign isn’t the slickest we’ve seen. Blueguard is written as “Blue guard” at least once, the video is pretty low production value, and the lock in the accompanying photo looks pretty beaten up. All that obviously hasn’t dissuaded a lot of backers, though.Prices and availability are subject to change from the time and date that you print this page. So I saw this and thought to myself, "Tons of storage, touchscreen and only about $130.00?
I'm sold" There's a reason it's so cheep. I'd like to adress that there is a HUGE reset button that just anybody could come up to and hit. Where is it placed? Right on the back of the screen. Speaking of the screen, it's plastic. The speed on this thing is so slow, and trust me, it's not my internet. Now what's a review without it's pro's? The very top row are a bunch of quick buttons, such as to upper or lower volume, screen brightness. To open up the settings, turn the screen off and it's nice to just tap a button and have Google come up. If you're looking for something to just have around the house as a 'family' laptop, I recommend this. But for personal use (school, work, ect.) this is not the thing you're looking for. Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () I bought this tablet about a year ago. I am a singer. It's hard to remember all the lyrics for rehearsals or worship. I wanted a large tablet for lyrics and set lists. At first I was using the King Office that is a lot like Microsoft Word.
It took a little longer than I wanted to put in lyrics and adjust the size larger etc. It took me a little while but I finally found Note. This feature was great! I can copy and paste lyrics into One Note, edit lyrics & change the background colors. The 10 inch screen makes it very easy to read. I love the lavendar color. I was only going to use this for lyrics but have since added some games from Google play and downloaded some animated wallpapers. The only downside I found was it was hard to find a silicone cover for this tablet for when it's separated from it's keyboard because there really isn't one made for it. I did one that was very close and I cut a couple of places to make it work. I was afraid of dropping it and breaking it so I wanted a cover. This is a handy tablet & I enoy it. Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () Hey Songbird716,

Glad to hear you are enjoying the tablet! Got one for my wife's birthday in 2014 and has worked flawlessly for over a year now.
Tablet is used daily for web browsing, email, facebook, online video streaming through the HDMI jack to a large TV. Doesn't take up much room on the motorcycle when camping. Just bought a second one for myself this past weekend. The better screen and addition of a trac pad on the keyboard are nice new features. Screen has better resolution and field of view than last year's model. Hard plastic case eliminates the need for additional protection, unless you will use the fully functional screen portion detached from the keyboard. A couple of minor drawbacks: only way to turn off the power drain from the keyboard now is to detach it. Rear camera resolution downgraded from 3MP to 2 MP. Seems to take longer to charge. Charger provided has a pin jack as opposed to charging with a USB charger (device can still be charged through the USB port, but you'll need to provide the charger). Built-in speaker is of low sound quality. When one of ours stops working, I plan to get another. Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () Hey DFWTom,

Glad to hear your wife is enjoying the tablet!
I was so hesitant to buy a tablet I was torn between a laptop and tablet. But then I saw this when shopping and looked at all the specs. I was thinking was to good to be true all that storage also. But I actually love it! I've had it for a 5 months now. I love that is has a document app where I can write school essays and more. I also have Facebook, clash of clans, candy crush, Pinterest, Netflix and so much more on it. I love that it comes with a keyboard also. I am surprised this doesn't have 5 stars. Trust me it's worth the money. I'm so picky about electronics and getting my money's worth and I can honestly say I love it. I even got a cute leopard print case for it lolz. Glad to hear you are enjoying the tablet! Cannot express how much I am enjoying this tablet. I am still in the learning process as I am not on top of modern technology. I first purchased a tablet that was not an android...and ended up returning due to it being far too complicated.
This tablet is so easy to use .....and so easy to understand. It does everything that I need it to do at this point. I really love it! I now use my desktop much less. I primarily use it for music .....so I purchased an inexpensive Bluetooth wireless speaker that fills the room with sound from this small tablet! I can take the speaker with me throughout my house and fill any room with the sound while the tablet is still sitting on my office desk. I have told an elderly friend all about this product....and hope she purchases one! Such an easy item to use! You certainly get a lot for under $100.00!! Glad to hear you are enjoying the tablet! This is a $150.00 tablet, NOT an Alienware $5000.00 gaming pc. That said, it does everything I want to do sitting in an airport, or just goofing around. At 1.4 Ghz the quad core proceesor only bogs down when you try to run a download, while you run a media file, and look up a webpage, just not up to all that at once...duh.
Works really well though, unless you're stupid and fail to, as in the example above, pause your dowload. As with all tablets, the memory is limited, but you can do most everything when you add an SD card, and if you're going to Cancun for vacation or something and want to be able to check in to your work email while also having your entire music library along, just put the media files on a thumbdrive cuz, this thing has a full size USB port, no adapter needed. AND it does a lot for $150.00! Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () This tablet is great for doing multiple tasks and just about everything. The 10 inch size is great and pretty portable to take it with you where-ever you go. The Detachable keyboard is without a doubt the best feature, It's great to be able to type right on the tablet and not have to buy any Bluetooth keyboards or anything. As far as the software and everything goes it's great to use, Comes with 5.0 lollipop which runs very smoothly and fast on the tablet as well as 2 front and back cameras.
The battery life is not bad at all for a 10 inch tablet, It says it lasts 6 hours which I would say is accurate if not more. All in all the price for this tablet definitely makes it worth it and a great buy for anybody looking for a nice tablet but not something too advanced like a laptop with Windows or anything. Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () I got this tablet yesterday 5/10/15 as a Mother's day gift to myself, also to hold me over while my Galaxy Pro tab gets fix (fried the wireless card) I will have to say this is a nice setup, I like the included keyboard, it just the right size keys are very easy to use and in all the right place's. I read some where that you can't play flash apps on it, that is totally wrong. YES You Can Play Flash Content on this tablet, just got to the app store look for 3 apps and download them to the tablet. 1. Dolphin Browser 2. Jet Pack for Dolphin Browser 3. Adobe Flash Player 11.1. All can be found in the Play store for free. It's only day 2 playing around with this tablet, and I can say it worth the money and then some, if you looking for a decent tablet at a cheap price to play games , check emails, Facebook or even surf the web this is the tablet for you.
The only thing that bothers me at the moment is, DOWNSIDE : The time it takes to boot up, (the time it takes the tablet to reach the home screen when you first turn it on) but I'm hoping this might get quicker over time. Other than that I'm very satisfied with this product and even got the extended warranty cause you just never know. Yes () No ()  Report Yes () No () fully charged within 3 hrs it says connect to charger when it says battery life 6 hours. if u leave a game app open too long tablet gets hot. i bought less than a week ago and i am returning it. battery seems to die quicker if keyboard attached which is the reason i purchased it in the first place. instagram cannot be installed on it either. Yes (1) No (1)  Report Yes (1) No (1) I bought one of these for my daughter last Christmas. First, it didn't arrive in time for Christmas. But that's not the product. My daughter used this unit for approximately 6 months, just long enough to give up her previous tablet and have no backup, when it bricked on her.
