The battery on this vacuum only lasts for 20 minutes of continuous use. Once it starts to run low on power it will simply shut-off. This is to avoid loosing suction, as the product description explains. People with an entire house to clean may find this frustrating, but keep in mind that this is a stick vac, not a full vacuum. I didn't notice the battery time as a problem - I can finish my whole condo on Max setting before it runs out.
