bissell vacuum cleaner not working

There is often a small rubber nozzle that sits in the base of the cleaner that the soap/water dispenser sits into. If the rubber nozzle isn't positioned just so, or if it's missing, the cleaner will not spray water or cleaner. If you see this rubber piece, remove it and reposition it, making sure it's seated properly in the hole. If it is missing, you will need to order a new piece. The cleaner won't work properly without it.  Presuming clean tank is full, and dirty tank is empty, and seals are good, and there's power to all parts. I just got this and tested it on my wooden parquet floor, bathroom and kitchen.
After checking the contents it has collected and observing what was already lying on the floor, I can say it does a very good job. You have to press it down on the floor for the brushes to make contact and sweep, as it's a carpet sweeper. I tried it on my bath mat and shoe mat and it worked fine on them, although it does require a few runs and you have to hold the mat in place with your foot. It doesn't easily go from side to side when you've finished sweeping one straight line. During sweeping the handle does loosen up a little which you have to tighten. I haven't tried cleaning it yet. I broom once a week and I use Simplee Cleen Microfiber Refills for Swiffer and Clorox ReadyMop 3-pack GREEN mounted on a Swiffer Sweeper 2 In 1 Mop And Broom Floor Cleaner Starter Kit broom in between brooming with this. Just got this from Costco yesterday...it is the Bissel Proheat2x. Cleaned the bedroom and got it all ready to start on the carpet. Put it together myself, followed every bit of instruction. Got it going and started at it. Then I discovered that it was not sucking up any of the dirty water. The soap dispenser was working the bladder water was being sprayed out, but no suction. I called Bissel and got someone in India. She walked be thru, but no luck or should I say no suck.. I am going to take it back to Costco, but right now I have a fan trying to dry out the carpet, and I have to go thru this process with either a replacement or call a professional. Did you try this?: ProHeat Not Picking Up Solution Turn the dial on the front of the machine to "Floor Cleaning" or "Tools." These are the only two setting that pick up solution from the floor. Reseat the tank in the base of the machine. Make sure the lip of the tank is attached to the nozzle in the front. Push back the handle all the way to lock it into position. You should find out if the tank is full of dirty water. When the red trap door closes, the tank needs to be refilled. It also may have closed accidentally if you bumped into something. Turn the machine on and off to reset the red door. If it doesn't reset, lift up the tank handle to remove it. Unlatch the top half from the bottom and pour the dirty water out. Refill the tank with hot tap water, latch the top half and situate the tank inside the vacuum.
