The LIDAR LITE will also have a motor attached to control the motion of LIDAR LITE required for getting a 3D map of the environment.

The motion of the motor will be controlled by ROS node through Arduino board. Development of the ROS node requires coding in Python/C++. Next Step would be hardware and software integration with ROS node and getting successful results. Finally, the existing ROS-Hydro libraries and nodes made for ROOMBA will be imported to the ROS-Indigo.Performance analysis of ARM processor using GEM 5 simulatorThe project required us to write a Matrix Multiplication program in C with 32-bit Integer elements, generated using random number generator and to check the total number of cycles elapsed to run the program while varying the level 1 data cache size from 32KB to 1MB and the size of the matrix on GEM 5 simulator. The statistical graph was plotted to understand the performance of the ARM Processor.Programming bare-metal ARM with QEMUQEMU is a generic and open source machine emulator and virtualizer. When used as a machine emulator, QEMU can run OSes and programs made for one machine (e.g. an ARM board) on a different machine (e.g. your own PC).

By using dynamic translation, it achieves very good performanceDesign of scheduling scheme for appliances in smart grid network with energy and cost optimizationThe project required development of algorithm for scheduling of smart home appliances entered by the user through a mobile application. The smart grid network consisted of home server, utility server and mobile application. Integration of this network was done using local servers hosted by XAMPP. Databases were maintained on both servers having the updated information of the appliances and its properties. The scheduling algorithm was designed using Simulated Annealing algorithm in Hadoop.Wireless communications using the RX63N and an XBeeThis project required us to connect the RX63N board to another board using an XBee module. The XBee module is interfaced via USART (SCI for the RX63N) configured with 8 bits of data, 1 stop bit, and no parity at 9600 baud. The Interfacing of the boards is to be done in such a way that when one character of data was sent from your XBee to the coordinator, a single “coded character” was returned from the other board.

We needed to determine the "cipher key".Digital Watch Prototype Design with Renesas RX63NThe project required to design, build, and program a digital watch using the Renesas RX63N development board. We used the RX63N’s Real Time Clock (RTC) peripheral for accurately keeping track of the time. The digital watch had 3 modes: display time, stopwatch, and set alarm. The LCD was used for displaying the time and mode information, and the on board speaker was used for creating an alarm.notification sound.Building a Digital Level using the TI MSP430This project required us to design, build, and program a digital level from scratch. The level functionedlike a typical bubble level, showing indication of tilt on surface. We represented the bubbleindicator by a series of LEDs. The LED position moved back and forth as the bubble does in a level as it is tilted.Home Automation Using DTMF- DTMF tone detection and decoding using MT8870- Home automation was demonstrated by controlling stepper motor and a light switching circuit- Worked on both Hardware and Software for this projectSimple Digital Oscilloscope Design using Renesas RX63N-Project was designed using Timer and ADC module on the Renesas RX63N board-Analog voltage values were displayed on LCD screen in a scrolling fashion as found on oscilloscopes
