Called company and they said it was a bad AC wall plug device. They sent me a new one. That did not help. Called again in Janurary, and while on phone, I accidentally pressed the power button on the hand held part, and the thing turned on and ran. So now it seems to work okay by using that power button to turn it on, and at this point, it's also charging the unit up. It does an okay job of picking up stuff on bare floors, not great. They don't last forever, my first one lasted about a year and a half. I tried another one in between, a hoover, it it didn't last 3 months or have near the power. I got this one again and am very glad I did. It's more expensive than some others but well worth it. I use it on my hardwood floors and small area carpets,low and thick pile, and it works like a dream. I rarely pull out my big vacuum anymore bc this works so well.

You do have to work fairly quickly bc it runs out of juice in about 15 mins. Very simple to assemble, you just snap the upper part of handle into base part. Also simple to use and empty. When I use it in the upright position and try to vac my hardwood floor, it just blows everything around. When I use the handheld, it won't pick up much. This was the LAST cordless vac I will ever buy. They don't have enough power. I went back to a corded vac. Best decision I made in a long time.

We have to get accustomed to the on/off/speed button, because we sometimes accidentally change the speed when we want to turn it off. I live in a tiny house and this thing will clean the whole thing on one charge. Works great on laminate and carpeting. We have dogs and this picks up the hair perfectly ( and is quiet enough to not scare them). Super easy to empty and unclog if I accidently pick something up that's a bit too big. When it stops running and the light flashes that usually means that it's clogged, or when dirt falls out of it when you turn it off.
