( AGGRAVATED ROBBERY On 09/29/2016 at approximately 9:02 PM, two suspects entered the game room at 2101 Alta Mesa Blvd. Suspect 1 pulled a black revolver and demanded the money. The suspects then fled. Both suspects are described as young black males in their late teens or early twenties. Suspect 1 appeared to be in charge giving instructions to Suspect 2. Suspect 1 - Taller black male was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue two-tone shorts with a blue stocking cap. He has tattoos on the inside of his right bicep. Suspect 2 – Shorter more muscular black male was wearing a blue t-shirt with an Air Jordan logo on the front, red shorts, white ball cap with a dark colored bill with a trademark sticker on top. He has tattoos on his right forearm. FWPD Robbery Detective PT Blauser is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for this crime. During the course of trying to arrest the suspect, Officer Howell was shot in the thigh.

Officer Howell's leg had to be amputated due to the gunshot wound and immediately after Howell suffered the first of a series of ...strokes. Officer Howell continued in the position of sergeant for the North Police Station; however, he eventually had three more strokes and died directly relating to the amputation of his leg and he died after having the fourth stroke in 1927. On Sept. 26, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the Stop ‘N Save, 5053 N. Hampshire Blvd., was robbed. Two black male suspects entered the store armed with handguns, while a third black male suspect remained near the front door serving as a lookout. One suspect stayed on the customer side of the counter and held the clerk at gunpoint. The second suspect went behind the counter and stole cash and cigarettes. The victim described the suspect who pointed the handgun as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches – 6 feet tall with a skinny build and light complexion. Another robbery occurred at this same location on Sunday, Sep. 4, possibly involving the same suspects armed with handguns.
