The vacuum had a difficult time cleaning hardwood surfaces. The Miele Swing H1 QuickStep is a quiet vacuum with HEPA filtration, but it lacks suction and overall power. The Miele Swing H1 QuickStep has a wide vacuum head and performs well on carpet but struggles on hardwood and isn’t the best stick vacuum choice if you have a pet.

It also lacks a rechargeable battery, a nice feature for a vacuum that's mainly used for spot cleaning. The Miele S194 Quickstep S194 earned very good scores picking up debris from bare floors. However, it performed very poorly removing pet hair from a low-pile carpet. This corded vacuum converts to a hand vacuum for added usability.
