list of quiet vacuum cleaners

Age 18-24 25-34 35-44 45-54 55-64 65 and older Gender Male Female Already have the NV500 and decided to get the upgrade for my 2nd floor as have carpet and wanted the edging function. Taken it back as it blows out bits of fluff, is more difficult to maneuver, seems top heavy and swings about on it's own, doesn't pick up as well, and the attachments are cheap bits of plastic. The crevice tool is shorter, the pet brush does not rotate (with the 500 I use it on my stairs) and the caddy is awful. I did like some features better like the 3 controls on the handle and the lift away for bare floors you don't need a 3-step attachment. On the 500 the suction is not good enough for bare floors when you just turn off the brush roller. Also on this model the front light is stronger, it's a pound or so lighter and I am right handed so like the cord on the left side where it's also higher up on the canister than the 500. There are a lot of improvements needed on this model as above, but it should have a retractable cord above all.

Will be watching out for Shark to take the next step. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () Verified purchaser I have swapped my Kirby for this Shark model. The Kirby is wonderful but too heavy for me. The Shark is as good as my Kirby but much easier to handle and navigate. I love the fact that all filters are washable and donnot need to be replaced. I am glad to no longer have the expense of replacing bags and belts. I am a pet owner with 3 cats and a very large mix breed dog who sheds year round. I could fill a bag with his fur alone! Now all I have to do is dump the cannister. Much healthier environment since making the switch. I am also a lifelong asthmatic so this is real deal maker! Yes () No (0) Report Yes () No (0) Verified purchaser This machine has all the possible features imaginable for an upright. The control is right on the handle with brush and turbo power control. The brush also acts as the self-propel wheel that it practically drags itself forward. The lift-away is the first ever seen on an upright and almost make the canister part unnecessary.

I said almost because it is kind of heavy so some may need to use the caddy from time to time. The twist and turn feature works really well. Dustbin is easy to clean as well. All the connectors are well designed and easy to take apart and put together.
cylinder pet vacuum cleanersThe suction is really strong.
robot vacuum cleaner in ukIn turbo mode, it is impossible to push without the brush on.
bissell vacuum and cleanerThe construction seems of very high quality and the fits and finishes are very good. The only complaints I have are the weight and the lack of cord rewind (maybe I am asking too much?) Overall this is a truly amazing machine with a reasonable price. Anyone serious about vacuuming should take a look. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () Verified purchaser Product is just what was needed to pick up.

For me, it was a little difficult putting together, however, once together it ran like a charm, Yes (9) No (0) Report Yes (9) No (0) Verified purchaser I bought this vacuum about a month ago and use it daily. So far I really like it. It's not too heavy, is easy to maneuver, and picks up dirt well. We have shedding pets so my biggest struggle is pet hair, and this vac does a good job picking it all up. I'm still getting used to the different configurations this vacuum has. You can take the handle off in 2 different ways to create a cleaning wand, which is helpful for getting into tight spaces. The height adjustment is very nice and it does a good job on hard floors. It also has a nice long cord. It's super easy to empty the dust cup and it empties well. I've had bagless vacs in the past that didn't empty easily and I'd have to stick my hands inside to fish out globs of dirty, dusty pet hair. I do wish this had a retractable cord. My previous vacuum did and I really miss that feature.

I also wish the LED lights could be turned off. I don't know if it's my poor vision or what, but the lights make it harder for me to see what I'm vacuuming on carpeted floors. I love it on the hard floors, though. Otherwise, I am really enjoying this purchase. Yes () No (5) Report Yes () No (5) I BOUGHT THE NV650 YESTERDAY. I READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS, CONNECTIONS, ETC. TRIED IT TODAY BECAUSE MY FORMER VAC GAVE UP THE GHOST AFTER 14 YEARS OF USE. I BELIEVE IN GETTING WHAT U PAY FOR AND I WANTED TO BUY A VAC THAT WOULD LAST 10 YEARS OR MORE. I STARTED ON MY THROW RUGS AND IT DID GREAT. IT ACTUALLY PULLED ITSELF ACROSS THE CARPET. HERE IS WHERE I WAS DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED. I WENT TO THE BARE FLOOR MODE AND I LET A WEEK OR SO GO BUY TO C IF THE VAC WOULD CLEAN UP THE DUST. ALL I FOUND WAS ROLLER TRACKS IN THE DUST! IT WOULD NOT EVEN PICK UP DUST BALLS . I AM RETURNING THE ITEM TODAY. IT IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE. SO, DON'T BELIEVE THE INFO COMMERCIALS. I CONTACTED SHARK FOR ADDITIONAL HELP AS TO Y THE VAC WOULD NOT SUCK UP DUST, ALL I GOT WAS THE TRANSFER SHUFFLE FOR A MONDAY PHONE CALL.

NO HELP WHATSOEVER EVEN AFTER READING THE TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE. THE EASE OF USE WAS GREAT BUT THAT IS ALL UNTIL U GET TO HARD WOOD FLOORS. IF THIS WONT WORK ON HARD WOOD FLOORS, WHAT ABOUT THE ATTACHMENTS THEY SAY WILL WORK. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () I bought this vacuum 6 months ago based on some reviews I had seen on YouTube and other websites. All the reviews stated that this was a very good vacuum and in the product videos appears to work really well. I really like several features on this vacuum - the LED lights (10 of them), powerful suction, easy to remove dust bin, easy to wash filters, goes from bare floors to rugs / carpet with a control button on the handle, on / off switch is also on the handle, release canister feature to vacuum under beds / tables, release handle to vacuum using long hoseIt took me a while to get use to the vacuum since it maneuvers very easily - almost on a dime. And compared to my old vacuum it is much lighter. It really does a great job on my floors - tile and carpet / rugs.

Every time I vacuum, I can't believe how much dust / dirt / dog hair it picks up - it really does an excellent job. I'm very glad I bought it. The only thing that would make it even better is if it came with more attachments - like a duster bush for baseboards, motorized brush to vacuum a dog bed, hose extender, add'l filters. Yes () No (5) Report Yes () No (5) I am very pleased so far with my new vacuum. It is everything the web page said it would be. It arrived quickly to my home although I thought I was going to pick it up at my local store (?). I was not charged for shipping which I appreciated. The vacuum was intact and easy to put together. I feel the suction is good and of course, seeing the amount of dirt it pulled out of my carpet is impressive vs. a bag. It certainly is versatile with the lift away, hand accessories and the upright. The only thing I have found that is different from a fixed upright, is the fact that the swivel power floor feature gives me a work out.

It's very easy to push but getting control of all that power will take some time to get use too. I also wish that there was a way to adjust the suction to vacuum or use hand tools to vacuum throw rugs without sucking them up. Yes () No (4) Report Yes () No (4) I've had the original Shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuum for about 5 years - I loved it, but it could have been better. This vacuum has all the extras I wished the old one did - headlights, a longer cord, multiple carpet settings, easier to use. This vacuum is GREAT on rugs and carpet, it even works great when you detach the hose and use the attachments. The suction is amazing, even better than the older model. But for some reason it doesn't pick up well on my wood floors. Half the time, I find myself having to go over and over the same crumbs and dirt before the vacuum will pick them up. Maybe the older vacuum did the same thing and I couldn't tell because it had no headlights...the lights on this vacuum are incredibly bright - you can see every little speck of dust on the floor.
