To make matters worse, the supplied hose is usually 6 foot long. My Sears vac came with a flimsy wire wound hose that I spent more time patching with electrical tape than using. I bought a replacement hose similar to the Ridgid hose; good solid but still only about 6 foot long. a Ridgid 20 foot hose is available that means no more pulling my vac around on its tinker toy wheels.
