Two Speeds = Some Oreck vacuums have two speeds. The lower speed can be used on more delicate oriental and other area rugs, as well as hard floors. Oreck Model Differences = Many Oreck models are similar. The only differences are style and color. The magnesium models are however built different from the other models, having larger wheels, lighter weight, and the swivel steering in the Oreck Magnesium RS LW1500RS model.
