Origin: A baby blue Electrolux vacuum cleaner (a.k.a. the vac or 'lux) has been in the repertoire (played as an instrument by Fishman) since circa 1989. An earlier, 1967 model was donated to the Hard Rock Cafe 1/29/93. The currently in-use model is from circa 1965. How Played: The end of the hose is pressed firm against Henrietta's mouth, and small crack is made to permit variable amounts of suction. The larger the crack, the lower the pitch of the squeel; the smaller, the higher. Dual Appearances: Fish has used the vac twice in the same show a handful of times, inc. 2-20-93, 4-10-94 (Didn't Know I and I Wanna be Like You II), 7-11-96 (Didn't Know I and Terrapin II), and 8-10-96 (Didn't Know I and Whipping post II). Dual Instruments: And during March 1992 (the same time the band played "Cold as Ice" instead of "Hold Your Head Up"), Fishman also played the bagpipes, with a special attachment so that he didn't have to blow the bagpipes *or* funnel the vacuum air through his mouth, creating the "Bag-vac".

I had already vacuumed my carpet the day before it arrived, but i wanted to try the vac so I did it again using my new vac (after doing the initial 24 hr charge). Well, I was shocked at how much dirt, dust etc it picked up from my "clean" carpet.
I did not expect a small light weight vac to work so well; better than my big vacuum. The best part is the button that cuts up pet hair. you step on it and boom! the brush is cleaned of hair. I have two dogs so that was a real plus for me. I highly recommend this vac. it is very light, easy to push, works on floor and carpet. Excellent suction and cleaning power. Very worth the money. I am going to be using this a lot more than my other larger vacuum. Im so happy I got this! Very lightweight, easy to use gets the job done. Very pleased with this vacuum. Glad I purchased it. We have a long haired cat and dog that shed tremendously, the feature that cuts hair off the rotating brush is amazing. Also being able to detach the center and turn it into and mini vacuum is great, we take it apart mostly to take and clean our cars. The battery life is amazing, we've used it for 30 minutes straight and it never slowed down like it needed charged. It's such a great vacuum, we rotate who's turn it is it vacuum because everyone wants to use it including my fiancé and kids.
I have arthritis and this vacuum is terrific. Clean my floors more often since weight of vacuum is no longer an issue I and my parents before me have used Electrolux Vacuum cleaners all our lives. I was not disappointed in this cordless one. The operating directions could have been more clear, but I was able to figure it out. I like the nozzle front lights, The suction is good. What sold me was the removal of the hand vac to do upholstery and the brushroll clean technology. Emptying and cleaning the dust cup was easy. It would have been nice to have the option of using disposable bags. This little wonder has lots of suction power,Its really powerful for a cordless vac.I love the led lights in the front and it takes no time to recharge.Since I have had this vac I have not pulled out my corded vac.If your on the fence about buying it just do it you won`t be disappointed. I have had these vacuums over the years and i LOVE them! My first one was awesome and the battery died after a year.
They improved it and I got another one...that one my Aunt stole when she helped me pack when I got divorced and moved back down to florida. Ordered another... loved it. It was the first one I owned that was the more expensive model. The same one as this but a little older. I used it for a couple years the battery died down and it got a little funky from my kids vacuuming up lord only knows what so instead of replacing the battery... I decided to start fresh and IM SO GLAD I DID! THIS IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE HAD!!!! I initially bought the $100 one and got it and was like no head light... well ok ill live... wait NO CHARGING STATION... the vacuum doesnt stand up so im not sure how you would charge it ...i guess lay it on floor and bend down and plug it on.... no thanks! once I got this bad boy... i realized its a better vacuum too so ..... my wife and I love its everything you want in a syick vac. and more high quality its just perfect dana and Charles of p.a. I DIDN'T GIVE THIS 5 STARS BECAUSE IT WON'T STAND UPRIGHT WHEN NOT IN USE.
