Plastic felt kinda cheaply made for the price. The vacuum and suction power are really good but I expected a more sturdy handle/body construction. Worth every penny, and it really pulls up the dirt, hair, etc. Easy to clean and maintain. You get what you pay for. We've all heard that. I spent a ton of money on this and I genuinely miss my Shark. I had this vacuum for about 3 years until the motor died just a couple of weeks ago. I'm not entirely sure what happened but it got to a point where it lost suction and the motor... I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my vacuum. I have always dreamed of getting a Dyson- Every OCD cleaner's dream-maybe. This vacuum does not work well - it almost seems like I received a returned, defective vacuum.
