It is a replacement charger. I will check when I get home to see which side the wires were plugged in..It's easy to tell because the side that had the green wire is almost completely melted! We did have our home inspected and honestly he was very good. But of course the outlet that I had the drill charger plugged in was behind a huge wooden daybed thing that the previous owner had in that room so he was not able to check that outlet...go figure.

And the charger plug is a Wall Wart black square like you mentioned...Do you think that could have been causing the power surges in the kitchen when we turned on anything? Thanks for the props too on capping the wires...honestly I knew something was really wrong when I unplugged the charger and the outlet was still super hot like 10 minutes later...I knew I had to get that outlet out of there! Yeah I think the kitchen is on a seperate circuit, but will have to check for sure when I get home..The wires were screwed onto the terminals for sure, I had to unscrew each one...but I was reading that a loose connection could have cause arching as well which might have overheated it ? I didn't know this until I had already unscrewed and removed it so I will never know if it was in fact loose... 16 used & new from Dispatched and sold by Capital Stores in certified Frustration-Free Packaging. Also very heavy needed to push with two hands and had to over and over the same area to collect dog hair that it... Unfortunately a part was missing so sent it back for a refund.

Shame since this looked to be a perfect Hoover with strong handle and nicely balanced. Hence only three stars. Gos though far tomany hover belts seems to just melt them I have had this since March and it's a pile of rubbish. Burning smell too and I think it's melted my carpet pile in places. stinks like its burning but im hoping this is just the "newness" of it , picked up ok & is very light to use. Not many attachements but ok for price since my 2100w died. So pleased with my Igenix, much lighter than the Dyson and easy to manoeuvre ,really happy I have given this 3 stars becuase of price, reasonable build quality and ergonomics. Whilst the vacuum has good suction, even on the highest 'Pile' setting, it can be difficult to... for the price cant go wrong ..Really pleased as bought to pick up dogs hairs ..good power would recommend Much heavier and so noisy....if i could send. it back i would. No matter what you do, you can't get your vacuum to turn on. Make sure you have pressed the power switch into the on position. Plug a different device that you know is working into the socket to make sure the socket is okay. You keep going over and over the same spot, but you still can't pick the dirt up off of the carpet. Empty, clean, or see Eureka AirSpeed Bagless Zuum Vacuum Washable Filters Replacement guide to replace the dust cup filter. Make sure air path selector know is turned to the floor setting and there is not a blockage in the hose. To replace a worn or cut belt, see Eureka AirSpeed Bagless Zuum Vacuum Belt Replacement guide to replace the belt. Turn carpet height selector to another setting. You try and clean the baseboards and corners, but the hose won't suck up any cobwebs. If filter is clogged beyond cleaning, see Eureka AirSpeed Bagless Zuum Vacuum Washable Filters Replacement guide to replace the filter. If the hose is damaged, see Eureka AirSpeed Bagless Zuum Vacuum Hose Replacement guide to replace the hose.
