So when we decided to upgrade to the new Magnesium Swivel model, I went to my local... Just bought it at a price $100 less than Amazon. Light weight and ease of use were important. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality vacuum Bought for two friends and have one for my wife as well. Very easy to push, extremely light weight and cleans carpets and hardwood floors quite well. Works like a dream The motor quit working 4 months after purchasing. Also, why would a corded vacume need a small battery to turn it on/off. I will not be purchasing another Oreck in the future. My old vacuum was too heavy.

The Oreck is light and very easy to change directions when trying to get around an obstacle. The swivel head and how it lays flat is really nice. I have another Oreck that's 12 years old and still works great too! We have the model LW100, had it for about a year, works very well, then we just got this LW1500RS, this is a redesigned model of the LW100,This machine is GREAT!! I love this vacuum! It's light but amazingly powerful. I love the lower setting so it doesn't suck up area rugs. And I especially love that it automatically height adjusts. Age 18-24 25-34 35-44 45-54 55-64 65 and older Gender Male Female Verified purchaser I own a "Kirby" vacuum, and it was becoming a pain in the butt to lug that heavy thing around the house, so I was looking for a decent vacuum, and Dyson's are overpriced, so I looked into The Shark... Everyone seemed to love theirs, so I bought this model, and I love it... Yes () No (7) Report Yes () No (7) Verified purchaser I cannot believe how great this vacuum is.

The sucktion is great. It took me a little while to get us to the swivel head, but, getting around corner's is so much easier it's not forwards then draw back then forward again, it's now turning a little & the vacuum cuts corner's easily. The Shark Navigator N46. It a small price for a great vacuum. I went through so many reviews on lots of vacuums, the Sharks were the best by far. I went through just about every Shark vacuum review & decided that this Shark Navigator N46 was just as good as the others. This is the vacuum that is the best for the price. Yes (8) No (0) Report Yes (8) No (0) Purchased this machine about 2 weeks ago and I have to admit it is all that I expected. It cleans great and is easy to handle. It did take a couple of uses to adjust to the swivel. However, there are 2 things I wish I knew before I purchased. The cord is not retractable which my cheaper vacuum had and was really easy for me. Also, the instructions say you should clean the canister after each use but this is not easy to do.

The canister removes easily enough, but after you dump out the dust and dirt there is no way to put a brush or even your hand in the canister to wipe it out. The fine dust clings to the inside and there is a tube that comes down the center and does not leave enough room to properly clean it. I purchased a duster at the local Dollar Tree because it was thin enough to go around that center tube but it still doesn't clean completely. Aside from a cloudy canister, I do really like the vacuum. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () I just purchased this model, after reading all the reviews and doing my own research for a bit I decided on a SHARK. Like in a previous review, the handle was a bit difficult to manuver but once I figured it out I got it on and secured in just a few moments. The suction is GREAT, the ease of movement is GREAT, It is a lightweight vacuum compared to my previous vacuum purchases over the years. I am still getting used to the swivel aspect of movement, kinda funky when you are used to just the push and pull forward and back motion.

I was a bit disappointed with how SMALL the actual unit was compared to my wide path cleaning I was used too, HOWEVER, I kinda prefer it now, it was much much much easier to manuver into that small places, around furniture and I even was able to get under the fish tank stand without having to use a tool, that was awesome. Overall I would purchase again, I have only had this unit a few hours but I think it is going to work out just fine. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () I just purchased the Navigator Swivel Plus(NV46) today because I have a Siberian Husky that sheds 24/7 365 days, went through 3 vacuum cleaners and I can't take the dog hair any more!! I just vacuumed the areas we hang out the most(small portion of the living room) and filled the container!! decided to go over the area again just to see if I got everything and filled it half way!! Now when I go into clean-freak mode I know that I have a vacuum cleaner that will get the job done!! Yes (5) No (0) Report Yes (5) No (0) This vacuum does have great suction and it is very light/easy to use.

I love how easy it turns. It really did pick up a ton of dirt! I couldn't believe how dirty the floor really was! I also like the on-board attachments, very convenient for getting edges, etc... however there is no where to put the pet brush attachment on the vacuum (not a big deal). The one thing I am disappointed about is the vacuum brush is not removable. Between me and both of my daughters - all of us with longer hair - it is a feature I should have thought more about before purchasing a vacuum. I just figured it was a standard feature, for the brush to be removable. Again, the brush on this vacuum is not removable so you have to turn the vacuum upside down and and used your fingers to pull any hair or fuzz that gets wrapped up around the brush. This is a bit frustrating as it is much easier to be able to remove the brush and cut the hair/fuzz/string that gets wrapped around it off while over the trash can. I will deal with it, because I already bought the vacuum and think it works great, but next time I buy a vacuum I will make sure the brush is removable.

Yes () No (7) Report Yes () No (7) I have been wanting a new vacuum for a long time. I always research purchases prior to buying, so that I have a better understanding of what I am getting. Although I had heard wonderful things about Shark, I was throughly confused with all of the different options. I found this Shark at Walmart, and it was so new there was not a lot of information online about this specific model. But with such a reasonable price, and knowing all of the information I had read about other Shark Vacuums I decided to take a chance. I was just like a kid in a toy store. I couldn't wait to put my new toy together and use it. I am so happy with this purchase. I thought my house was clean, and knew the carpets would be good since I just vacuumed. However after just a couple of passes, I was disgusted with the amount of debris that was removed from my carpet. I just purchased this today, so I have no idea how long this vacuum will last or issues that might arise, but so far I am 100% happy.

Even if it only lasts a couple of years, the price is great and you can't go wrong. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () So after having issues with our bissell vacuum cleaner, I decided to post on facebook asking my friends which vacuum cleaner I should buy. All of my friends had said to go with a Shark. I really wasn't looking to pay more than $100 on a vacuum cleaner but I would as long as it was worth it. With that being said, I went out after viewing what my friends had suggested, and bought a shark vacuum. I bought this one and I am in love!!! I never thought that a vacuum would work so well. I vacuumed my carpets and was amazed with what I had gotten out of the carpets. Then on top of that I decided to shampoo after I vacuumed with the shark, and to my suprise, there was very little dirt in my carpet. And no pet hairballs. I couldn't believe my eyes. Being 7 months and being worried about what would be in our carpets when the baby gets here, was worrying me. Thank you shark my worrying is over!

Definitely worth the money! Yes () No () Report Yes () No () To be fair, the vacuum this one replaced was a $50.00 off brand that I bought 5 years ago, so any new vacuum would probably have been just as exciting. However, the vacuum is, on it's own, amazing! I've always heard good things about Shark and this one did not let me down. It has so much suction power that it offers a 'suction release' if it's too much for certain carpets. It picked up everything including dog hair. I hadn't realized how bad my old vacuum had gotten until I pulled the canister off the shark and there was 3 inches of dust, dirt and dog hair, from one medium sized area rug! I can't believe all that was in my carpet. The swivel head feature makes it easy to maneuver, but because the suction is so strong it is a little "heavy", like a lot of people mentioned in their reviews. The brush does help by moving the vacuum forward. The canister is easy to empty and the filter is easy to clean. My only real complaint was it came with an accessory (the pet upholstery tool) that doesn't have a storage spot on the vacuum.

Overall, I am THRILLED with this purchase and would recommend it. Yes () No () Report Yes () No () My Dyson of almost seven years died the other day. It was dying a slow death as it was, certain hoses and things kept breaking and my husband was constantly JB welding parts together. I knew I would not buy another one and decided to give the Shark a try because of the good reviews and the price. I brought this baby home and had my husband assemble it and I was off. First off, this thing is power packed, when I put the beater bar on to vacuum the rug, I was glad I was hanging on. The Shark kinda turns into a self-propelled lawn mower on rugs and takes off. I vacuum daily because I do have three dogs and I could not believe the amount of stuff this Shark pulled up from my rugs that I thought I had already vacuumed up with the Dyson. The cord is just as long as my Dyson's was and it swivels just as well as. It is a little heavier but since I am tough, I won't complain. I highly recommend this to anyone.
