vacuum cleaners 300 air watts

Airwatt or air watt is a measurement unit of the effectiveness of vacuum cleaners which refers to airflow and the amount of power (watts) a vacuum cleaner produces and uses.[2] It can also be referred to as a measurement of the energy per unit time of the air flowing through an opening, which is related to the energy that electricity carries through the power cable (wattage). The airwatt is a useful measurement of vacuum cleaner motor efficiency, since the power carried by a fluid flow (in the case of a typical house vacuum the fluid is air) is equal to pressure times volumetric flow rate. The airwatt relates to actual airflow, while part of the electrical power (watts) consumed by a vacuum cleaner is dissipated into heat due to necessarily imperfect efficiency; two vacuum cleaners of the same airwattage have essentially the same suction, while devices of the same electrical wattage may have a difference in efficiency and thus have substantially different airwattage. The formula used to compute airwattage differs between vacuum cleaner manufacturers.

The standard airwatt formula is from ASTM International (see document ASTM F558 - 13)[4] Where P is the power in airwatts, F is the rate of air flow in cubic feet per minute (denoted cu ft/min or CFM) and S is the suction capacity expressed as a pressure in units of inches of water. This makes one airwatt equal to 0.9983 watts. In terms of the orifice plate, Where D is the diameter of the orifice holes. Using coherent SI units, power equals flow times pressure by definition. That is, where the power is expressed in watts (W), the flow is in cubic metres per second (m3/s) and the pressure is in pascals. Since one pascal (Pa) equals one newton per square metre (1 Pa = 1 N/m2), then: The power of the flow times the pressure will always be less than the power applied via the voltage and current (1 W = 1 V·A). The ratio of the power produced in the flow and pressure divided by the power from the voltage and current is the efficiency. CFM is always given statistically at its maximum which is at a 2-inch (51 mm) opening.

Waterlift, on the other hand, is always given at its maximum – a 0-inch opening.

If the flow rate were given in litres per second (L/s) instead of cubic metres per second (m3/s), then the pressure would be in kilopascals (kPa). Thus one watt equals one kilopascal times one litre per second: Hoover recommends 100 airwatts for upright vacuum cleaners and 220 airwatts for cylinder vacuum cleaners.

In November 2013, I reminded everyone that the EU had an incredibly irresponsible plan to simply ban all vacuum cleaners above 1600 watts of the input power.

(The equivalent figure that Americans would use is 110 times smaller because the voltage is 110 volts and in amps, so 1600 watts is equivalent to 14.55 amps.) Today, on the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, the ban came to force. I didn't want to believe that it would ever become valid but it really has. Czech media say that it's still OK to sell them and the retailers have huge inventories, indeed. Some Western European media suggest that it is no longer legal to even sell them – but the sale really seems to continue in Czechia, a country that is telling the EU overlords "screw you, Ken". Needless to say, no significant improvement in the efficiency of the vacuum cleaners has materialized since the late 2013. The models on the market still have the "useful suction power" in AW (air watts) equal to 1/5 or 1/6 of the input power; the models for which the ratio approaches 1/4 are significantly more expensive. Just check the top 20 bestselling vacuum cleaners in Czechia.

The table looks as follows: 320 AW / 1600 W 500 AW / 2200 W 510 AW / 2000 W 425 AW / 2000 W 380 AW / 2000 WAW / 1700 WAW / 1000 W 450 AW / 2000 W 230 AW / 1400 WAW / 2200 W 300 AW / 1400 W 400 AW / 1500 W 340 AW / 2000 W 304 AW / 1800 WAW / 500 W I've included two models that were "advertised" in between. 17 models above use AC (power outlets). Out of these 17 models, the production of 11 models (two thirds) is already banned on the European territory. The arrogance with which these bureaucratic assholes pick a scapegoat – something that consumes a negligible fraction of the energy – and ban two thirds of the top models on the market is stunning. There is a sense in which Ukraine – or North Korea – does belong to the EU. More precisely, Brussels does belong to Ukraine or North Korea. North Korea celebrates its Earth Hour or Earth Day every hour on every day in every year, as the notorious satellite picture above shows.

But another failed state, Ukraine, isn't too far from that ideal society, as the RT video shows. Not so wisely, the current Kiev regime has declared a so far "soft" war against its key supplier of energy resources. Instead of trying to fix these external problems and start proper business with other countries again, the rulers have paid for a P.R. campaign convincing the Ukrainians that they don't really need electricity (and other forms of energy). When you save energy, you save Ukraine, the poor Western Ukrainian sheep are told. What the commercials don't say is that the rulers could save Ukraine as well, simply by stopping screwing their country and by creating conditions in which the unrestricted import of the energy resources will actually resume. But you know, fascism and ecofascism are twin sisters. In the modern world, only failed states really need to tell their citizens to save energy. It's too bad that the apparatchiks in Brussels are transforming the European Union into a failed territory not dissimilar to North Korea or Ukraine.
