Because of the high standard of filtering required these HEPA filters are quite expensive but their performance is far superior than most non certified filters. If you are going to buy a HEPA Vacuum Cleaner then you should get one with a certified HEPA filter. HEPA Type filters are very similar to True HEPA filters and are made like them as well. They could bear a lot of resemblance to each other and can be difficult to tell apart. The only difference is the certification. HEPA types do not have to meet the filter standards of True HEPA.
